Best weekend getaways

Sunset from the pier of Puente Romano, Marbella, one of our favorite destinations

It seems like summer is truly over. We've refused to admit it, but the weather is already getting cooler, the days are getting shorter, with less light, and we've started to pull out the first jackets and trench coats. Time flies, especially in the increasingly technological society we live in. We've fully entered in the routine of September (work, family, commitments...) and have put aside the days of rest and time for ourselves, exploring, and dreaming.

Spain is one of the Mediterranean countries in Europe where in autumn season it is still possible to enjoy the sun and travel. In fact, it's the perfect time since it's not so hot and the places aren't crowded with tourists.

For those who can afford some days or just a weekend getaway, here are our most lovingly selected destinations. They are well-connected destinations, very diverse, and with plenty to discover, with great hotels and restaurants we trust to provide a five-star service and experience. From north to south, including the islands:

  • San Sebastián, located in the north of Spain, has become our favorite spot for a luxury destination. A small coastal town with excellent food, tiny roads and beautiful beaches to walk, the best gastronomic destination.

  • Rivera del Duero is a region of Spain with numerous wineries. There's nothing better than two days of enjoying the best food paired with the finest wines and beautiful landscapes.

  • Madrid, the capital of Spain, has new places to discover every day. Luxury hotels and restaurants are constantly opening, not to mention its leisure, gastronomic, and cultural offerings. For those looking for a city break, there's no better place.

  • Mallorca, this island within the Balearic Islands, continues to offer great facilities and things to do during the off-season. Its wellness offerings and relaxation in hotels in the middle of the countryside are perfect for a couple of days.

  • Seville, in the Andalusian region, to truly discover the most traditional Spain, tapas, flamenco, and good wine. One of the most fun cities with the best atmosphere.

  • Marbella, flying directly to Malaga, remains one of our favorite places during the off-season. Puerto Banús and Puente Romano are our ultimate luxury destinations, and we never regret it again.

Enjoying the sunset at Puente Romano is where we took this photo, saying goodbye to summer but welcoming all the new things this season, including the new journeys and opportunities that await for us.

Dear reader, we at Luxcape invite you to plan your next getaway in Spain with us so you can enjoy the best luxury destinations, hotels, and restaurants, which we will organize for you down to the smallest detail.
